A trip

I'm going to CA the first week in March to visit my brother and some family. This will be the first trip I've taken in forever. I haven't been to CA since I was about 10 I think. So in order to fly you have to have an ID. Luckily Rikki remembered this and reminded me, so yesterday I spent the day in the social security office in north county and the DMV in Pacific. I went to the Pacific DMV because I figured they'd be more likely to let my ghetto birth certificate slide. Instead of glancing at it and rejecting it the lady spent about 5 minutes looking for whats barely left of the state seal on it. "oh! There it is" she said and smiled. A pleasant experience and the DMV. Yay for small towns. I expect DMVs in north county to just shoe me away. I don't blame them I'd be a crabby ass face too if i had to work their jobs. Since my drivers license is so expired (April 07) I opted to just get a state ID for now. I have to take the driving test to get my license renewed. Guess since I never took it the first time I should have to do it this time. I'll do it later. My picture sucks, I put my hat on while my hair was still wet and wore it all day completely forgetting about the picture till I got to the DMV. Right on.

I ditched wordpress in favor of drupal finally. I've been planning to for a long time now, and just got around to it. I've been working with drupal a lot on quite a few other projects and I really, really, really like it. I recommend it for almost any CMS related site you have going or planned. update:My twitter and google reader feeds are now published to my blog automagicly. yay.

New Project

I've started work on a new project. A music site mash-up, enabling you to search for music and listen to it or download it. Ripping data off from various sources on the net. Some of which provide this information freely, and some I have to parse data old school regexp style. Its my new baby, be nice to it. Also theres no caching yet so try to keep the hits to a minimum as last.fm will eat my dog if I flood them with queries.  Any ways here it is: Matts Music Thing. Comment here with suggestions.
